Dr. Ali El-Haj-Mahmoud is an Assistant Professor
of Computer Engineering at the American
University in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. El-Haj-Mahmoud received the Ph.D. degree in 2006 and the Master of Science degree in 2002, both in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. He received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Communication Engineering in 2001 from the American University of Beirut.
Dr. El-Haj-Mahmoud's research interest is in the general area of Computer Architecture and Systems, with special emphasis on high-performance processor microarchitecture for safety-critical real-time embedded applications. He is also interested in holistic system-level design approaches to meet the competing requirements of performance, energy budget, and real-time guarantees in next-generation, multimedia-rich mobile embedded devices.
